Choosing the right diamond blade is the foundation of clean cuts. Match bond hardness to stone type: hard bond for soft marble, soft bond for dense quartzite,
and silent-core blades to eliminate vibration chipping on polished surfaces. A mismatched blade glazes prematurely, wears unevenly, and ruins expensive slabs
within minutes.
Secure slab stability before the blade touches stone. Use vacuum suction for polished surfaces and mechanical clamps for rough slabs, with support rails spaced
no more than 30 cm apart. Unstable slabs flex and chip regardless of blade quality. Drill relief holes at inside corners of sink cutouts to absorb stress and prevent
crack propagation.
Adopt incremental multi-pass cutting for thick or brittle materials. Start with a shallow scoring pass of roughly 5 mm to establish a clean channel, then deepen
progressively. Keep feed rate constant—never jerk the blade forward. Maintain water flow of 3–5 liters per minute directly at the blade-stone interface to
prevent overheating and segment glazing.
Discipline in maintenance sustains long-term precision. After every shift, clean slurry from rails and guideways, inspect the blade for cracks or missing segments,
and verify water nozzle clarity. Lubricate linear guides weekly, check spindle bearing play monthly, and confirm emergency stops and blade guards are functional.
A 15-minute daily checklist prevents 80% of common breakdowns.
